I have been looking at this gun for over a year now in an old family run pawn/gun shop (Winchester Model 94 Commemorative Dodge Marksman in 30-30 with Dodge gold medallion). Still has the original box from 1984, never shot, w- gold saddle ring. Been asking 395.00 the whole time, even after the plant closing. After buying a Ruger Blackhawk 45LC 6 1/2" barrel for 300.00 and a like new Remington Wingmaster 12 Ga. for 250.00, he agreed to come off the 94 50.00, so I got it for 345.00 plus tax. I gave the man 200.00 today, and will go back every week for the next few weeks and pay a couple hundred until I pay the entire 967.00 (includes tax). I have 60 days to pay it which won't be a problem. The strange thing about the Blackhawk is that the previous owner apparently sent the gun to Poly-Choke, because it has a low profile vent rib on it with tiny engraving that says "Polychoke". Also, I think it has a new light hammer spring as it is so much easier than factory.
Opinions please on if this transaction was a deal for me or not, I seem to think so. I call the weekly pay plan the "wife plan" so she does not see too much money missing at one time. She :x would throw hot coffee at me if she knew about this!!
