.204 bull barrel
« on: March 08, 2006, 03:20:37 PM »
I'm thinking of buying a .204 ruger barrel for my handi and see thats its only avail as a bull barrel. Will this cause any problems with fitting to my current forearm? Thanks for the advice.

Is your forearm wood or synthetic?
It shouldn't be a problem anyway. If it fits too tight you can always sand out inside channel if it's wood or take a little of the synthetic off with a sharp blade and even pulling strokes. I've floated barrels with synthetic stocks this way and have got excellent results. Easy too.
Of course I would try it first without modifiying it to see how it shoots. It might not need any.

My forearm is wood, so I won't sweat it and just order the barrel. Thanks for the help Myarmor.
