you'll need a 1-8 for that bullet . stick with bullets around 90 grains if you want to go big with a handi 243.

yes yes i know 100 grain corlokt shoot great for everybody (rolling eyes) but i'm a buying it

The 100gr Federal PowerShoks shoot real good too, as well as the 95gr Fusion.

before i get burned my point is for what your probably going after with the 105's A-max's (long range target/varmint) the handi just isn't twisted fast enough to use that bullet and have long range target/varmint accuracy, if that bullet doesn't shoot in the .3's or at the worse .4's its not going to get its job done. horandy is wrong that bullet is made for a 1-8 twist not the 1-10 they say and that the handi has. if you could get that bullet to shoot better then 3 MOA my hat would be off to you. trust me i have a 243 that shoots 95 grain C/T real well and if it could do the same with that A-max i wouldn't be spending $2K on a rifle right now.

try the 87 grain V-max or the 88 grain berger's if you want good shooting high BC's in a handi 243.

ya know i've noticed not only is buying a handi great in itself but most tend to really like cheaper end factory ammo. brilliant thing really.
