Marlin 1894SS LTD
« on: March 09, 2006, 03:03:57 PM »
I'm a new member and this is my first post.  I've lurked for a long time and really do enjoy the Handi rifle stuff.  I have wanted a 1894P for some time.  I first saw one at a gun show several years back and didn't buy it.  I've kicked myself ever since.  Recentley while seaching for one on the internet I discovered the 1894SS LTD.  This gun was a very limited run.  I bought one from a shop in Houston and have owned it for a few months.  My problem is this.  I have yet to shoot it.  I hate to mess up it's collectors value.  I bought it to hunt with.  What do you guy's think?  Does anyone else have this gun and how does it shoot.   :D

Shoot it. Marlins will hold their value. Even NIB you wont get much more out of it than you will if you shoot it.

I don't own anything I ain't gonna shoot.
Any law that makes self-defense illegal or impractical is an illegitimate law, and should not be obeyed, because such a law ultimately subjects people to the criminal element.

A Marlin is like eating chips you can't just shoot it one time.
