Yugo M-59/66 prices
« on: April 01, 2006, 10:42:05 AM »
A guy offered me a Yugo unissued  and still in the tube of cosmo with 100 rounds of 762x39 for $225 + tax. You guys think that is a good price? I told him i would think about it, but he only has 5 of them so i should decide quickly. What you guys think?

If you have a C & R license, you can do a bit better.  I've seen a couple of wholesalers selling them for about $150 unissued (without the ammo), plus shipping (about $15).  I think I saw them at AIM Surplus and Southern Ohio Gun.  If you don't have a C & R, then the $225 isn't too bad a price.  Good luck.

$225 is on the high end. I see them at various online merchants for $140-150 and sometimes less. Even with shipping and transfer, that's still a good savings.

Just thought i would pick up another shooter being i have a M-59 and a russian, and i dont have one with the launcher yet. I dont mind paying a little more since it helps keep the little shop the guy owns stay in biz, but i think i will put the $$$ elsewhere as i've been wanting a CZ in .204. How long do you guys think the supplies of the M-59/66's will last? I know the M-59's are getting harder to find, but the 59/66's seem to be everywhere.

Don't know enough about this stuff to hazard a quess as to how long the 59/66's will last.  Hope its a while, since I'm waiting on my C & R license (applied about three weeks ago), and would like to add a SKS to my safe.  I can't fault you for wanting the CZ though.  I have a 452 American in .22lr, and it is a real tack driver.
