If the Swift is a model 676, it's a premier scope, it's an excellent scope, sells for around $140 new. I don't know if they have ever made a 4-12x40 in their standard line which is not all that great of quality if the did. The model number should be marked on the bottom of the tube ahead of the power ring. The premier line of scopes has a lifetime over the counter replacement warrantee.

For $35 the Swift is a good buy, if it's a Premier, it's a great buy. It would make a good backup scope. I have had bad luck with all of the newer Tasco's except the TG line. Of course, I broke the crosshairs on one of those, too!

I wouldn't expect much from any of the Chinese made scopes.
