New Romanian Dragunovs (PSL / Romak-III / FPK)
« on: April 30, 2006, 03:31:06 AM »
Just wanna make one thing clear the romanian dragunov is NOT THE ORIGINAL RUSSIAN Dragunov.  Its an ak-47 type rifle.  But what Im trying to see is, if anyone here owns one of those romanians.  They seem to be getting some awesom reviews esspecially the 7.62X54R version.  They go for about $700.  What are anyone's thoughts on these

Here is mine.. its a origional Romanian,, and not a TN guns kit build..
I bought mine from Centuary about 3 years ago.. with all the acessories shown.. with tax out the door at my dealer was almost $800.00

I have shot almost 700 rounds thru it.. and all of the ammo was Czech
Silvertips..
At 600 meters i can punch a pieplate 7 out of 10 times.. but at that range
the POS1 scope is maxed for my eyes..  but the scope is crystal clear
and spot on at 400 meters..

MY PSL has had no issues at all , and has been 100% reliable... something
not said about the kit guns...
The wood and finish is typical Romanian... not really good but functional..

I have not modified anything except for adding the quick mount bipod..
Mine also came with 2 matching serial numbered mags, I have only used
1 mag since i got the rifle.. the other is still wraped in plastic..

Mine shoots just like all the reports say.. the groups open as the barrel gets hot,, not excessivly though..

These rifles are designated marksman rifles.. not sniper rifles ae the
SVD is..   I didnt expect 10 shots in the size of a dime at 300 meters
when i bought it.. and neither should you..
it will place 10 shots in a kill zone and thats what it was designed for..

I recomend finding one of these great rifles.. that are fun to shoot
and ammo is cheap..

For the price its the only semi-auto rifle in 7,62x54r and the other one comes in 308win/nato.  I believe there was one in 8mm mauser but i think it was pulled off the shelves.(M76 or M79?).

I like the scoped model and the carbine too.
