Hello guys just found this site today and it looks like a good one, just wanted to introduce myself.
I love Bear hunting and am really happy to find a forum with a index dedicated to bear hunting.
Myself and three buddies are just in the final weeks before we leave for the AK Peninsula and a 10 day brown bear hunt.
It's going to be a long trip as we drive to Homer take the ferry to Kodiak and then fly with Andrews Air to the peninsula.
Plus Black Bear is just around the corner also.
Friend told me yesterday that 2 confirmed brownies have been killed already down in units 16 and 16b so the time of year is upon us.
I live just outside of the AK Range where it is just starting to warm up so here in a couple of weeks we should have some sightings. I can't wait, next to the fall migration and sitting in the blind waiting for whistling wings nothing excites me like the bruins.
