Taming '92 Winchester ejector.
« on: March 23, 2006, 06:14:22 PM »
Hi,
The only thing I don't like about '92s is the way they just about put the ejected case into orbit!
This is easily cured by replacing the original ejector spring with a weaker one from the hardware store.
It needs to be the same length and outside diameter as the original but made of lighter gauge wire. They only cost a couple of bucks so you can experiment to get the strength you want.
My rifle, now, drops the shells a couple of feet away from my right boot.
Cheers,
gazz.
