Goofed up and placed this in the wrong place the first time, so will try again.

Has anyone had experience with the Sightron Scopes. How do they compare to the Nikon, leupold and others that are in the same price range? Gimme your opinion........ :wink:

From what I've read from Sightron owners, I think if you stick with the SII/SIII, you'll be happy, I have an SI 3-9x and it leaves a bit to be desired when compared to a my comparably priced 3-9x Nikon Prostaff.

I picked up a 3x9-42 SII ;ast year and really like it. I compared them (in the store, not the best methodology, granted) and found it very competetive the Nikon's and Luppy VXI and VXII. It came down the Burris Fullfiled and the Sightron, and I went with the Sightron. All we very nice, but to my eyes on that day, the SII won out.

At $200.00, approx, it's a lot of scope for the money.

I picked up Sightron SII 3x9x42 last year for my 308 Encore. Its a great scope for $200. No complants at all. I'll probrably order another one this summer for my 209x50 bbl. Its a real value at $200 :-)

The S2's are excellent scopes. I have a 6x42HBR on my .17 HMR, and a mil-dot 4-16x42 on my .223 (both S2's). Glass is excellent, and the target knobs are very precise, and provide very positive clicks. I don't care for the 1/8" clicks on my 4-16, but they work great on the 6x.
