how do you remove flashlines Stevens 200 stock?
« on: March 19, 2006, 12:32:59 PM »
Well, I finally got a Stevens 200 in .223 into the local WalMart.  It will be mine in 3 paycycles.  Meanwhile, I know that a lot of people have been using Fusion paint on these stocks.  What have you been doing about the cheesy flashlines left from the molding process?  The ones on my soon to be rifle are very pronounced.  Is there an easy way to shave them level?

Since it seems you want to paint this stock, it should be easy.  A small needle file and some patience should "get 'er done"! :D

I have it on good authority that the telepromter is writing a stern letter.

Actually........ I confess to just leaving mine! But did paint it sort of an ugly plum color     So far the coyotes hae not seemed to notice but someday I will cover the ghastly plum with camo.........sort of. I love this gun for some reason, maybe because it's an effective tool and I don't sweat it gathering honest war wounds.  Congrats on your new stick!
