Hey guys one of my buddies made a heck of a buy on an old percussion shotgun and we're lookin for any sorces of info. It's a Robinson , 12 ga, half octagon. Underbarrel is stamped HD and a couple of stamps that appear to be crossed sabers with a crown. Any collector book titles or websites would get us started.  Thanks much   olredhead

the markings would most likely be viewers marks and proof marks . it would depend on  what shape  and style of crowns they are .
IMO the best  SXS  info can be found here
