Is it just me, or does your Pard/Topper seem more balanced with the  24" slug barrel than with a 22" or the longer 26 or 28 inch barrels?  I have a 24" 12ga Mod. barrel and it seems more balanced than my any of my 22" barrels.  I don't want to say PERFECT feel to it, but it sure does feel RIGHT.  Maybe it's just me!  What's your take on this, guys?

For a walkin around gun I like the 22". For hunting it's a 28" except for deer, then it's a 24"Topper deluxe slug.

:grin: I'm with you,Cookieman. The 24in barrel on these guns seems about right. I even cut the barrel on my Stevens 10ga to 24in. Don't ask. This is a work in progress. :lol:  Hunman55

I recently bought an H&R 088 in .410.  I measure the barrel at 25" and it sure does seem to carry right.  :-)
