Chalk one up...

...for the 7600!!  Rifle in 270 Win with Leupold VXIII 2.5-8x, shooting Federal Vital Shok 150gr. Nosler Partitions.  Moose facing straight on at 110 yards.  Bullet hit about 1 foot below the beard.  Moose went straight down.  Weight was 780lbs. on the scales in Ashland, ME, with a 48" set of horns....

Congrats, you have a nice trophy and a lot of great eating.  Once again you have proven that it is shot placement and bullet construction that kills not having the latest super duper magnum.  Enjoy

The bullet went at least through his liver after hitting high lungs...didn't follow up after the liver, but that's a good 3 to 3.5 feet of moose.  With the high impact, I think I cought a bit of neck/spine as well.  Amazing that it made it all that way to the liver and beyond...    DL
