It's 10:00pm down here in Chocowinty Nuwth Carolina.Got the door open and just killed a sketter on my arm.
You guys can have your ice and snow. The snappers are pot'n good.
I just heard the the Chinese dont want our otter no more. They have swiched to Turtle Skins. And I am sitt'n on a gold mine. :D

Nope.  Everybody knows  we have 2 seasons up here.  Winter and the fourth of july.  

Keeps the southerners out lol.  

Have heard several times in the last few years the otter market is about to drop out.  We will see i guess.  Might not be as good as feb.  Time will tell.

Dont care as  long as the beaver market holds.

We've had open water for quite sometime.It has snowed twice in the last week though.It was 27 degrees at 06:30 this morning.
I love the smell of coyote gland lure early in the morning.It smells like victory!!

I was just ribbin newt.  

Ice has been off most everywhere in my area since about the 15.

I am not certain but Lake of the Woods probably had ice still floating around on it last week.

Bout ten-12 years ago LOW was still froze over on the fishing opener.  Thats generally about Mothers Day.  

Some sad heads at the resorts.  Look across the lake and all you seen was ice.  They should have brought their augers.

Finished up spring open water bvr trapping last week and some places in northern Wisc woods there was  snow   on north side of steep hills.   Trapped in short shirt sleeved shirts... picking off ticks too.... :cry:
