I'm not real sure what to choose here, in my opinion it's performance is between poor and good. Quality? Poor-It's cheap, dirty, steel cased and the red lock tite used for the primers gets every where in the receiver.
That said...I shoot it often :?  :)  Why? It's fun to plink with, and very cheap. Also it helped a lot with the break in of my 223 barrel. And didn't cost me much for it. The best "group" I ever got with it was a little over 1 1/2" with the worst being about 4"  :-D  Consistantacy anyone????  So I guess I have to say poor.
Good for off hand practice though.

Interesting so far.  I cant say much, I havent shot much at this point.  What I did shoot grouped quite well.  What I have Googled at this point, off of people who have shot lots of it, is strictly positive.  Mind you, cheap ammo is cheap ammo.  I certainly hope some arent biased just because it is cheap and not what the 'big shooters' use.

Curious to see how this pans out.

Thanks thus far.......

Not me. I can go buy a $3.00 box of 55gr UMC's or the cheap 55gr Winchester White Box ammo and get and inch and under. Mine used to absolutely hate these, but has tamed down now. Some cheap ammo can perform well. From my humble experiance is that steel cased ammo is at it's best plinking and practicing.

I voted poor, cause it won't be very good for accuracy or expansion.
Will probably never shoot it through my Ultra.

That being said, I love to shoot the stuff, got 1000 rds right now and 1000 more on backorder. It's cheap, but easier on the pocket book when feeding 3 AR's.

I tried it and no matter what I do, I can't get it to eject. So if I plink gophers, I have to take my cleaning rod with me. Kind of a hassel when you are out walking. Not to bad on the bench. I gave it a poor. It is very reasonably priced at our local gun shows. My son has a bolt gun in 223 and he loves the stuff. Stan the RT Man

Well, the whole topic is a little flawed.  You've asked "what we think", but haven't been very specific on what you are looking for.  I think Wolf is excellent plinking ammo, and it is not intended to be target ammo.  I shoot quite a bit of it through my AR's, and shoot it through my bolt and single shot .223's as well.

You can't beat it for the price, but you shouldn't expect it to be something its not.  What other .223 ammo can you get for $100/1k rounds?

well to a handi or single shot rifle i bet thier terrible but thier great for ARs according ot reviews on Midwayusa, also thier 7.62x54R is supurb and a blessing to Mosin-Nagant owners. its just their steel cases that give a bad impression.

I have heard that they stopped using sealant around the base of the bullet.  I have not tried the new improved Wolf ammo without ther sealant, but the old stuff would glue itself into the chamber of my Contender and was a real hassle.  The new stuff is not supposed to do that, but I have not tried it.  I still have some old stuff left and it works great in my semi-auto.
....make it count

Yep, Wolf is cheaper when spraying the hood! Don't want to waste good ammo on drive-bys.

I use it in my AR all the time, and don't have much problem staying within the 8 ring, but if you are trying to shoot groups with it out of a handi I would stay away from it.

Unable to eject after about 20 rounds. Will stick to winchester. Shooting sunday am for the first time this year 1" groups. I like outshooting some of  the fancy  $1000 ar15!s with my $200 handi.

I only use wolf ammo in my sks. It works good for that and is fairly accurate. I would never use wolf for a handi rifle though. I was at cables a couple of weeks ago and seen a product called wolf gold. Is that something thats new?

Take care,

John
