old encore frame & pro hunter barrel

I have heard it both ways. Will the new pro hunter barrel fit an older encore frame? The 300 Win mag specifically.

Encore frames have not changed. I believe you may be thinking of the G2 frames vrs the contender frame. And yes the new G2 barrels will fit the older frames. There may be a couple of excetions in the shotgun/BP area.  KN

I think the only thing that has changer on the new Pro-hunter frame is the engraving and the hammer. I could not see any other difference. Yes the barrels will go on the older Encore frames.  :D

Yes I just put a 243 Pro Hunter barrel on my 5 year old Encore frame.
