rechambering

what would be a good TC Contender barrel to start a .22 wildcat on? would a hornet be a good start, since there is a lot of steel to start with, because of the small case size?

i want to eventually end up with a .221 Fireball but the barrels for those are ridiculous and i thought i would be able to buy a G2 with a hornet barrel on it at about $410 at the local gun shop and then simply rechamber it.

There may be a problem with the extractor as the Hornet is rimmed and the 221 is rimless. They are both made but it may require changing..I simply haven't had the experience with the contender.  The rechamber is doable although I would check to verify the bore diameter and twist rate are acceptable for the 221..
