chargemaster dispenser

Can I use the chargemaster dispenser independently? Or does it have to work in conjunction with the 1500 scale?
  I have multiple scales to check weights. If people are saying it's really good to within 1/10 or so, can I just use it to dump loads if I check it periodically?
  Just trying to see if I can avoid having to buy another scale. Although it is a really good scale and the package does sound appealing. Thanks

The Chargemaster dumps powder by weight.  The dispenser has to communicate with the scale.   The Chargemaster will dump powder at full speed, when the amount of powder is close to the desired weight  the dispenser will slow down to a trickle and slowly finish the charge.  If your scale is not part of the Chargmaster System then it will not be able to communicate.  If one of your scales is a Chargemaster 1500 scale then it will work, if not then you are out of luck.
