New Mortar and Cannon forum Poll Results
« on: April 02, 2006, 04:25:58 AM »
The poll results are in and the majority were in favor of the new suggested format.

But this is one of those situations were the majorty will not rule.  The poll was to close to say a clear majoity agreed.  In fact I think there were some who would have liked to change their votes.

We will not ask Graybeard to expand and change our little board at this time.

We did  take to heart the feedback.  We are working on some changes.

So here's what we are planning. It won't be happening over night but watch for it.

Where to find Blackpowder Cannons and shooting supplies and References get left as is.

Cannon Accidents!!! Safety Warning!!!, Blackpowder Mortar and Cannon shooting FAQ's, Rules of the forum - and advertising and BPM&C Photo album links and Picture posting instructions will get rolled into a new Sticky called BPM&C board Rules, FAQ's, Pictures and Safety.

When we greet an new poster  we will now include a link to BPM&C board Rules, FAQ's, Pictures and Safety in the greeting post.

We will open a new sticky called  Safe Loads and Cannon plans. Under this post we put the two safe load rules from the FAQ's we already have posted.   We are going to contact Matt Switlik and try and get permission to post his small gun load chart.

Whenever some one post plans in a regular post we will go in Safe Loads and Cannon plans and make a new post identifying the post and gun with a link to the original post.

So watch for the changes.

If you are going through the old posts and you come across a post with cannon plans in it just post a reply to it and say check this one out.  That will pop the post to the top of the list and we will see it and get it added to the cannon plan list.

Do you want the golf ball mortar contest plans?

Also, back in the dim mists of antiquity, there was a drawing of a M1841 Heavy 10"/M1844 10" Sea-Coast mortar.  How about that?
