Just for those with a family member in Iraq..
« on: October 31, 2006, 03:57:48 PM »

So you have a loved one serving in Iraq !

Is he/she a mentally deficient looser ?  Were they incapable of getting passing grades in school ?

                    Perhaps they are retarded !

John Kerry..2004 presidential candidate seems to believe so !

He also said a year or so ago that our loved ones in Iraq are terrorists..terrorizing women and children at night...

After the Vietnam conflict, he accused our troops of atrocities..atrocities he couild not prove under questioning..

He did however, admit that HE had himself,...had committed atrocities...

I don't know how you feel about it, but my grandson, my nephew, my neighbor and the young lady from our church who is an Air Force Captain (rocket scientist) and several others from my church/village..are not mental cripples...

They all have one thing in common..they are PATRIOTS...

Something that I doubt Kerry has any knowledge of...

Sometimes I believe that Kerry is just dumb enough to say aloud, those things that many top Democrats only say to each other at DNC functions....

I heard what he said, and I heard his explanation.  Both stunk

My stepson is also a Marine, preparing for his second deployment.  I work with a lot of mentally challenged kids, in Special Olympics and a lot of them are patriots too.

I do not think his statements are anymore indicative of the Democratic Party’s view of service personnel, than Congressman Foley’s e-mails are indicative of the Republican Party’s sexual orientation.

I am however disgusted by his remarks.

I am sure he MEANT to say something to the effect of:  If you don't get your education, don't study hard, act like an idiot...you could still be President.

The only folks that seem to have their panties in a wad over this are Republicans that are scrambling to find ANYTHING to keep their party alive in the next election. (by the way..I voted Republican the last 2 elections)

Where is all the attention when the media is on our (military) back??  Where is all the attention when they stop allowing troops WHO HAVE SERVED THEIR OBLIGATED TIME to get out of the military??  WHERE IS ALL OF THE ATTENTION WHEN WE HAVE TO SEND ESCORTS OUT TO MILITARY FUNERALS TO KEEP PROTESTORS AT BAY?????

Get over it, I'm sure most of us in the military already have.... there are more important things than a "botched joke."

Darn that means there is still a chance that Kerry may one day get elected.  ;D

All the lib media are jumping through hoops..trying to explain what Kerry "meant to say"..he said what he said, very clearly..and he has been saying similar things for years.

When my grandson was counter snipering in Al Anbar prov in Dec 05..Kerry was on TBV calling our troops "terrorists" while Murtha was calling them " cold blooded murderers"...

That kind of talk from elected American representatives, give great "aid & comfort" to our enemies...

How is "aid & comfort to the enemy" defined in your dictionary ?

What he said bvery clearly is that he thinks Bush is a dope.  Nothing about the troops.  Hardly a new sentiment.  That has been said before.  And if the Right hadn't jumped all over this to make it an issue then very few people would have even known about it.

Time to stop the overreacting.

  Oh Sure...

Here's a statement.." The raspberries are turning rotten before they are picked !"

There..now anyone that is half awake should clearly understand that I meant oranges and kumquats are ripening early this year...

Only an idiot would think I had anything to say about raspberries !

Well Ironglow, I won't resort to calling you an idiot.  There is noting to be gained by that, and I am not a politician.  But your logic is as flawed with this one as it has been with all your other points.  Go figure.

Well now that the botched joke is old news, tomorrow I go back to work at Lackland Air Force Base where they train all the airmen that go to Iraq and all other areas of deployment. My little bit to help "support the troops". Most are there to better themselves and get the education they could not get elsewise.

I'm currently training a class of 4 new recruits.  One is a Russian native with TWO...yes TWO Masters degrees.  Another was one semester shy of getting his from BYU.  The other two...well, let's just say Kerry would be proud.   ::)
