Author Topic: What bases/rings work best on the Pro Hunter/Encore? (Read 543 times)

My first post, so bare with me. I just received a Pro Hunter (ML) from my wife for my birthday :grin: . Great wife, nice gun. I want to use quick detachable rings (QR) so I can use my optics on multiple barrels. I purchased Leupold QR rings and base but are not installed. The base is one-piece instead of the normal two. Does QR compromise accuracy for convenience? What have you experienced with QR rings? What fixed or QR rings/bases work best for you?

I also have the new Pro-hunter M/L Encore. I am using a Warne base and Warne fixed rings. I don't use one scope for different barrels, it can be done, but you have to resight in every barrel. What a pain in my opinion. All 6 of my Encore barrels has its own scope, as a matter of fact all 6 of my Encores have there own frame and are complete guns.

Thanks, Redhawk1 for your response. In a previous post you stated a friend uses Leupold rings (dovetail). Any problems? Does anyone have any experience with Leupold QR rings?

My buddy does not have any problems with his dove tail Leupold rings.
