Ultra Varmint Fluted in 204
« on: April 05, 2006, 04:56:42 PM »
First post for the site so hello to all!  I will first say that I am amazed that I found a forum for H&R with this much activity on it!  Well my first question is about my recent purchase.  I just bought my first H&R and it is a Ultra Varmint Fluted barrel in 204.  I set a Bushnell 6*18-50mm on it and shot it for the first time yesterday.  I was impressed with how it did considering we had 20 mph winds here in NW Ohio all day.  I was just curious if any of you guys have this rifle and had any pointers for me.  Right now I am shooting 32 grain Vmax hornadys and I shot 1.5" groups in the wind so I was pretty happy.  Thanks to all and glad to be on board!
