« on: April 30, 2006, 09:47:25 AM »
Midway is selling 338 cal. 250 gr. moly CT bullets for 4.99 / 50 so I bought 10 boxes and now I would like to remove the moly coating before I send them downstream.

Any information wil be of use.

  Thanks

I have a buddy who is trying to do this chemically, using acetone.  After 24 hours, he is not having any success!  Does anyone have any suggestions as to what chemical would work for this?

I could do that but I was trying to avoid that moly build up as this is a newer rifle it has only had about 400 rounds through it. I am going to try the case cleaner trick with walnut media if it works fine if not I will just shoot them. And hope for the best.

  Thanks for the input
