My sons new rifle.

The rabbits, squirrels, and the crows have been put on high alert. I took Holden to the gun shop today and picked out his first gun. He picked the Rossi 22lr/410 combo. He is a little fella so this gun fit him perfectly. He was shooting eggs at 30 yards after I got it zeroed in. He is already pretty good I would have to say. Makes a dad proud to him shoot like that  :D  Cant wait to call some crows in for him to take a wack at.

There is nothing better than getting our kids involved in shooting sports.  My youngest son and I shoot pistol together (he is 24).  He is on first shift the next two weeks, so several trips to the range are in order.  Something we can enjoy together.

Enjoy your time with your son!

I'm glad to see you had the insight to put a scope on it.  I'm a big believer in using scopes, and teaching kids to shoot rifles with the benefit of a scope. They can learn iron sights if they take an acute interest in marksmanship.  Nice choice. I'm sure you'll both have plenty of good times afield.
