Veral, sorry about so many questions, and thank you for answering them.  I was interested in the crimp to base measurement, which I know is opposite of what you normally do.  With the weight so close from your mold to my old one, I figured if I could keep the same amount of bullet in the case, my loads should be close.  I only use your Blue Soft lube.  I have had better luck keeping the bullet deeper in the case than seating it out.  The actual barrel length is about 4 3/4" and with the big case, it's more consistent with more of the bullet taking up room.  Why do you prefer the LFN in 50's?  My longest game shot probably won't exceed 75 yds.  Thanks for your time.

I have your mold finished and it should go out tuesday.
I normally measure crimps from the nose because in most cases max OAL is the concern, but measuring from the base is not problem, and I did it with your bullet.
Since your gun is a single shot, a crimp isn't needed, and based on your statement that confining the powder helps with the big case, you may find it benificial to seat deeper than the crimp groove.  The bullet I made you has a very strong forward driving band which will grip the rifling well even if it jumps a long way.
I said I normally reccomend the LFN for 50 cal revolver use because it has a VERY adaquate flat nose for prompt kills.  But I sell many WFN's and it is best if the shooter wants to hunt at velocities below 1000 fps.
