i have hear lots of people saying are airguns are like a .22 rim fire. well i have a H&R 22 and this is what i know. now a 22 short match is going 566fps out of my h&r and it's a 20 GR bullet and that about speed of my crosman 2200. a 22LR subsonic is 958FPS and it's a 40 GR bullet and that about the speed of a good Spring Piston. and a 22LR high velocity is at 1250fps with a 32GR bullet and that like the Sumatra 2500 Carbine. i shot some game and found that airguns are better that a rimfire for small game like jacks and nutters and rimfires are better for bigger game like coon, foxes, yotes. so airguns are about the same as a 22 rimfire on small game but not on bigger game. the bullet GR is not what kill them it was if the bullet or pellet stay in the game and the rimfire didn't on small game.
on monday me and some people i shoot with did some hunting. most 22cal loads if you hit a nutter in the head it runs off and goes about 50 yards before dieing and one shot with a pellets only goes about 3feet before dieing. the point i am said is that a airgun will out do a .22rimfire on small gun out to 50 yards and that even with a 22rimfire lager GR 30-50 it still will not put them down like a airgun. now for coons the 22rimfire all the way. some one shot one with a CAREER 707 with a Eun Jin .22 pellet and it did not go down and we didn't find it. and with my h&r they fell from the tree D.O.A. but if we shot a rabbit the CAREER 707 would put them down and the h&r would let them go 50 yards before they would die. and i like the Gladi8or that i got to use, that thing badass.
