Tactical 20 ...reforming then loading....
« on: April 13, 2006, 03:32:36 PM »
I have done a pretty exhaustive search to find Lapua brass ready to load in the tac 20 [5mm] rifle I'm customizing.....Seems fairly straight forward.. buy dies, buy form die...resize all to spec of the parent cases 223 rem.....use the forming die...then the full lenght sizing die in the new caliber...prep & sort the perfect cases for final trimming, chamfer, clean, prime then load....I'm I missing anything ??? never did this before..I screwed around with a batch of 250 savage to...22 250 ...308 to 243..30 06 to 270...The'06's come up way short on neck lenght when sizing down to 270...other than that one dissapointment I think I will be OK in this project....any thoughts or comments on reforming rifle cases please chime in....mike in ct
