I'm not certain that I know what the wire fuse is. Are you able to provide more info about it?

The wire fuse I'm familiar with (1960's) was sold with Jetex engines - as I remember, you'd put a pellet of fuel into the engine and the fuse through the end cap.

The fuse was a thin wire coated with a composition that burned.

I recall Jetex fuse, great stuff for small vents.

I think CVA used to sell it also for use in their small scale (45 or 50 cal) cannons.

Check Visco, Cross-Match...best I can do.

I have used thermalite and it's some scary stuff. You can ignite it by turning a loop in it and snapping it or just cutting wit wire cutters
