Anyone out there have any good loads for the .338-06 Encore.  Just picked up the barrel and have intentions of using it on Whitetails in very thick cover.  Thanks,  PaLongshank

I have a 338-06 but on a Savage 110 platform.  I'm in the testing phase of load development right now.  Groups are ranging from 1" to 1 3/4" at 100 yards for three shots.  

WW 30-06 Brass
WLR Primers
Hornady 225gr. Interbond Bullets
48-50gr. of Hogdon Varget

My next trip out I'll be testing loads from 50.5gr to 52gr (max).
