Remington Hevi-shot

I figured this would be the best place to post this ... I'm using 2 3/4 Hevi-shot 1 1/2 oz. of 5 shot  - upon taking them out of storage this week I noticed that the crimped end has split on several shells and the shot media buffer is falling out ... (looks like lil white sand) - I have shaken the shell and everythig still feels packed inside - Question is do ya think it is safe to put a thin layer of something like nail polish to seal the end ?

                                                                               Thanx

I'd feel more comfortable using something like automotive RTV silicone or Goop, the thinner sealant might run inside and fuse the shot and remaining buffer together somewhat which might affect your pattern. Another alternative would be to return the defective box for a new full box for your trouble!!

Hi i had the same thing happen to my 10ga ones. SO i took some wax and melted and put a little in the end of the shell Works good. Remington is coming out with a new turkey load . They said it is going to be better than the hevi shot load. :?  VM
