I finally got my reciever and barrels, I got a 7.62 and a 30-30.  I hope to turn the 30-30 into a 30-40 krag at some point before hunting season.  It took them a little over a month, which I didn't think was too bad.  The wait was killing me though because I couldn't shoot the 280 loads that I worked up as it is the original barrel on the gun, but all is well now that my baby is home. Can't wait to get out on the range and work them in.

Cool and congrats.   8)

Please continue to share the details of your findings, namely ...... ALL OF THEM!

I'm also interested in shooting (perfecting) the .280 Rem

but also the 7.62X39 .......

And your Krag project sounds very worthwhile and intrigueing.

A few guys have done the 30/40 conv. and are very pleased with how they turned out , i am thinking of getting the 7.62x39 or the .308 barrel so a range report is going to help me deside .

So keep us posted on how they shoot .
