.500 W.E. cases?

I understand the .500 Wyoming is a proprietary case, but can it be made from another cartridge, a Win mag maybe?
 Or must all brass for it be bought from Freedom Arms? This is something I would like to know long before deciding what cartridge to settle on.

As far as I know, suitable existing cartridges to wild cat a fifty WE from do not exist.

If you are looking for a cartridge with the option of forming your own brass then the 475 Linebaugh is probably you’re best bet and is the only option if you want a big stomper chambered in a FA. If a FA isn’t your number one priority then the 500 Linebaugh would be my second choice.

Do some comperisons on the 375 H&H. I had to buy a 375 H&H shell plate holder for my Dillion 550B, to reload for the 500WE.
