Red Head Scope
« on: April 27, 2006, 10:52:56 AM »
Some time ago a neighbor moved and gave me a 788 with rings and bases attached... Beat up gun!!! I looked in Bass Pro and bought a Red Head 2x7 for 50 bucks to try the rig out. I was expecting like BSA. The scope came with yardage adjustments up front and bad directions for this use. I am a Leupold guy! But this scope set on 50 yards is excellent for the price. The scope feels kinda cheap, with duck head on it, but i'm inclined to leave it alone, and not replace this pretty neat backup deer
rig..
Ques: What's the rub on Red Head scopes, any experience here?

tscott--I have a redhead 3x9x32 on my cva 50cal. muzzie sitting on top of high mounts so that I can see the fiber optic sights for close range and it is great, and is holding up to the 50's recoil----Thank's.
