Just wondering. From last years to this years list on the website. Not much of an increase, $3-10 or so.

Hmmm, an omission, hope they aren't discontinuing it!! It's part# R03490, 22" standard contour, 1:9.45" twist rate, w/s scope rail.

I sent em an email heads up.

Sorry, forgot that important spec!!  It was $77 in the 2005 acc pamphlet, but all the barrels that were $77 are now $85, so I think it would be a safe assumption that it's $85 now.

I was told that the 7.62 x 39 barrel has been taken off the accessory list due to complaints that some guns misfire with military ammunition. H&R is looking at a fix but there is nothing promising. In other words, if you have one, you better hang onto it.

When I inquired at the factory, that was what I was told.

Well, I emailed Gordon about it, this is his reply...

I have a few at this time but we may take it off the market for a while
because people keep trying to use foreign and military ammo in them and they
are not made for that you must use factory ammo to function properly.

I wish H&R would chamber these .310 bore barrels to 7.62x54R much more practicle chambering and ammo still much cheaper than 308 or 30-06, and to failure to ignite problem from those rechambered from 7.63x39, AND it has a rim so perfect for a single shot IMVHO.  :D
