This week!!!
« on: June 05, 2006, 01:41:00 AM »
We'll be pullling out bright and early Thursday morning. I know some others from farther away will be leaving earlier than that. Looking forward to seeing everyone again and popping some dogs with the Savage 12FV 22-250, Ruger MKII 220 Swift, the UVF-Ultra-Handi hybrid .223 bull, Savage .22LR, Handi 445 SuperMag, and maybe even a 20 ga. barrel on one of my frames for walking in close like someone else mentioned.
Man I'm pumped! Digger and me will be doing a loading marathon between now and Thu. morning but at least we know what loads we're shooting finally.   The Winny white box ammo seems to be the choice for two of the .223's in our group and possibly a third if Digger decides to go that way, just can't beat that stuff.
CYA'all  Thu. evening!
 :D

Well I'll be pulling out around 3:30am Friday (taking off work early) and should arrive around 6am or so.

Has anyone else had some what of a hard time getting ready?

I got my barrel and bolt handle for my 10/17HM2 conversion today.
The bolt handle was too thick :( I'm converting an early 70's 10/22.
The older 10/22's had a thicker bolt so they had to send me thinner bolt handle.
They will Air Mail me out a new bolt handle I should have it Thursday.
That will leave me 5 hours or so to sight in and see which brand of ammo the gun likes and buy 500 rounds for it.

Like2hunt I'm sorry to say I wonÂ’t be bringing my .22Cheeta I havenÂ’t had time to work up a load for it.
I've had 6 days off since April, so my range time has been extremely limited.

Looking forward to see ya all.

Too bad warf, maybe we can take a hog at 250 yards or so with it later, one in the ear and he's down! He'll never know what hit him. :D
