ALEXANDRIA, Virginia (Reuters) - Zacarias Moussaoui, the only person convicted in a U.S. court for the September 11 attacks, should go to prison for life rather than be executed for his role in the hijacking plot, a jury decided on Wednesday.


Good... I was afraid they were going to give him what he wanted... Martyrdom.  Let him rot in prison for the rest of his natural life.  I'm sure he won't enjoy it unless the muslim gangs protect him.

Some years ago I saw Wisconsin's Supermax prison before it was open.  The total isolation of each individual prisoner made me think I would prefer lethal injection to a stay there.  Supermax prisoners have no direct contact with any other human being for the vast majority of their stay.  Family visits are conducted over closed circuit TV with the prisoner in his cell. Exercise is done alone in a cell with direct conection to open air.  And the requirement for daylight is taken care of by a mirror reflecting light into the cell.  The bed is cement, with a foam pad.  I would be insane shortly after being secured this way.

This afternoon I thought of that when hearing that this man would be spending his life in prison.  I wonder if we have room for him in our supermax?
