Got my .45acp upper from Reed's today! How's that for service? Ordered it Wed and got it today, (Sat). It looks and fits as advertised, hand cycle function is good. If the weather drys out a little, I check out function and accuracy tomorrow.

Shot the Witness with the .45 conversion yesterday. Zero malfunctions, shoots to point of aim, and is the softest shooting .45 I've ever shot!!

frosty,
Maybe that's a good thing! About $350 for the base Witness in the caliber of your choice, and $195 more for a conversion in a second caliber. That's under $550 for two guns in your choice of calibers. Sounds like a bargin to me!  By the way, extra mags were only $20 a copy---------now what do I want next, 9mm--------22lr-------or .38 Super-------? :-D
I'm thinking I might just buy another complete gun in another caliber at those prices--------can't have too many ya know!

I think the Witness is the most unsung bargain in the autopistol world.  I've loved mine since they introduced it in 40SW in 1990, and in the years since, it's digested nearly 35,000 rounds without a bobble.  I'd like to get a CZ just to compare them, but the tab is a lot stiffer.  Mine's not the most accurate gun I own, but having the unbeatable reliability it offers makes it a favorite.  I'd LOVE a 10mm, but a 38 Super is awfully tempting..... :D Are you hearing me, Savage? Hmmmmmmm?

papajohn,
If you already have the .40, all you need in a 10mm barrel and the +power firing pin spring along with the 22# recoil spring to convert to the 10mm. OR------just a barrel change gets you a .357 Sig. I agree with you on the value of the Witness pistols! My 10mm is a real winner, I think I'm going to REALLY like this pistol in .45!!! Jump on in, the water's fine!

Good luck Frosty! Not many dealers in my area, I had to order mine. It was worth the wait.
