Contender hammer?

I have the old style hammer with the rimfire, centerfire selector operated by a flathead screwdriver. The newer style has a thumb switch. Will the newer style fit my frame?  thanks Scott

Scott,

You can send your frame back to T/C and they will do an easy open conversion, which would include the new style hammer.  Last time I checked, the hammer was considered a "factory installed only" part.

I sent a frame back for repair once and it came back with a new style hammer. What an improvement over the old style! It shold be a drop in item. They might even send you one if you ask.  KN
