You can't go wrong using BKL (one of the advertisers) rings/mounts. Those folks make a set of spacers (or a single bridge mount) that has .004" drop from back to front and another that goes .oo7". If you use these, you won't need to shim your scope and still will keep the scope within the prescribed 1.5" limit above the action. They are solid and relatively inexpensive. Hope this helps.
