Of the three choices, I would go with the Remington.

The Savage is probably going to be the best shooter straight out of the box, but either rifle will in all likelyhood be minute of deer without any work.  The Remington has, IMO, the most potential due the the availability of parts, both factory and aftermarket.  If you can't find it for the Remington they don't make it for any of the others for sure.

Seeing as the Remington is priced close to the Savage, I'd probably take the Remington.  I don't think you would go wrong with either.  Which one feels right to you?

 Savage.  Great shooter, only downside, it kicks like a young mule. But then again, they all do.

Savage would be my choice. Probably better shooting out of the box and right now they deliver great accuracy plus might be a little cheaper. Talking about the 200 model. The model 111 is a great shooter also. I have a 111 and I'll put it up against any of the others. Just my  :money:  worth!

This is the equivelent of the Ford versus Chevy versus Dodge arguement.

I said given the choice of the three I would go with the Remington, but truth be known, I would get a Tikka, Browning A-bolt, CZ or a Sako.

I agree, the Remington is the best choice. The Vangaurd is too heavy, the Savage is too ugly.  I'd also go with a 30-06 instead of a 7MM mag.

I would go with the Ruger #1B in 25-06.  Oh, and victorcharlie,  Ford, every time.

If you don't care about looks, go with the Savage. Acutrigger is great, the rifle is accurate from the box, and the money you save will allow you to practice shooting more.  I like all the rifles that you mentioned, though, for what it's worth.

My two choices:

NEF Handi Rifle

Savage with Accutrigger

Both of mine are tack drivers and very deadly :D

The best 7mm round I shot off the shelf was the Hornady 139grain BTSP.

The Savage is a very good rifle and very accurate.  However, when you get one your just buying a DODGE.
