Hi All,

I need help in looking for info about this rifle.  It is marked "Stevens Savage arms corporation, Chicopee Falls, Mass. USA.  Proof tested CaL. 30-30."  Does anybody know when this rifle might  have been produced?   I can not seem to locate the s/n.  I looked all over the place for it:  where might the serial number be stamped on this rifle?  It is a bolt action type with detachable magazine.  It has two screws on the left side of the receiver for possibly scope mount mounting.  I'll appreciate any info about this gun.  Thanks in advance.

I did a little bit of searching and found some info. Looks like the 325 was made pre mandantory serial numbers. Found some ads for sale that were from a 1948 magazine and a company selling parts for obsolete weapons. Did a Google search for Stevens Model 325. Sorry I can't be more help.

If your rifle was manufactured prior to the year 1968 there will be no serial number as they were not required.

Scroll down to my past Savage 340c topic and Uncle Joes Savage Springfield 840 topic. There is some info on Chicopee Falls marked Stevens 325 in those two threads. All three guns are basically the same. The two threads are still on the first page in this forum.
