Does anyone out there have any experience with simply rugged holsters?

I've been looking at the sourdough pancake holsters for a 4 3/4 inch single action, was wondering if it rides high enough to have a lightweight jacket cover it up pretty well.
Was even wondering about the reverse snaps option...if it was even possible to use inside the pants once in awhile getting this option.

Your comments would be appreciated on these holsters.

he made me a pancake for my ruger alaskan and it was a quality rig at a real reasonable price. Nothing fancy but thats the way i wanted it. Robs a nice guy to boot!!

Well I'm looking for something that's not fancy, but just works good.
I guess I could call there and ask questions, think I will.

I have one that I had made for my 625 MB (.45 Colt) I absolutly love it! During the winter I also use it for my CC holster for my PC 625 .45ACP. I have the 4 inch bbl model and it hides well if I wear a long flannel shirt or long windbreaker.

In fact, I like it so much that I ordered another one for my 642 Airweight. It is handy and when configured for my snub it hides well under an untucked tee shirt.

For the money, you can't beat them for secure protection for your handguns.
