Went to Academy tonight to look for a pellet gun in order to rid the neighborhood of some tree rats. Seems like everytime the wife plants flowers in the front yard and back yard, dang squirrels dig 'em up. Alot of apartments and houses have gone up in the area in the past six months and I guess we've got them coming over now. We've got several large trees.
Anyway, found a Gamo 850 Carbine on clearance for right at seventy dollars. Came with the BSA Scope. Got it up and running a few minutes ago and sighted it in, only about 10 yards, and nails the bullseye. Will this gun take care of the "rat problem?" Its a .177 shooting at 850 fps....
