Hey Guys,

Marlin's success is due to their high quality product, and relatively low price!! Let alone the fact that the rifle is handy in size, reliable, and available in calibers to hunt anything from groundhogs to grizz.

Marlin's success is due to several things. They have made a very high quality line of products that were never overpriced, their rifles were always dependable, reliable, rugged, and accurate and were available in a wide range of calibers for different purposes.
They were hunters' rifles, from .22 lr to .45-70.

They still are all of the above.
They are still American made, still a family business, still will last long enough to give to your grandchildren.
And they still make a great lever action in .35 Rem.
I own 2 Marlins right now, the newer one is about 30 years old, the older is 45, and I have no problems with either one.

They are a well made rifle that is priced right ,and old tech retro is kool .

I have a couple of modern Cowboy lever guns. One in 45-70 and the other in .357. Both are great, reliable and super shooters. I also have a 93 in .25-20 made in 1893 and another, a 38-55 made in 1904. Both work great, shoot great and are ready for another 100 years...
That is why Malin is successful.

Marlin has raised prices as needed and at the same time maintained and improved quality.

Yes on the quality/price/all-American comments.

Also, after owning a number of Marlins for the past 30+yrs, I finally had an issue with a crooked barrel on my 1895GS a year ago. I sent it to Marlin half expecting to hear "it's within specs".....a famous Ruger comment!

The turn around was fast (only a couple weeks) and it came back with a straight new barrel installed. Although, at the time, I was feeling a little anti-Marlin, my faith in the company has been restored to a level higher than my expectations indicated!

Good on Marlin!
