pre-WWII Bayard pistol

I have an old Bayard pistol model 1908 i believe, inherited from my grandfather.  It has some rust on the barrel and elsewhere, don't know if it works or not.

I would like to find out the value for possible sale, and should I attempt to clean/refinish it or not?  I have never done this before so any advice would be welcomed!

What Caliber is yours?
Some of the calibers are almost impossible to obtain ammo.

There was a .30 and a 7.65 also that had unusual deminsions to the case.
one was similar to the .30 Pedersen. the other looked a lot like the 8 mm
Steyr. Neither were interchangable.
