Replacement Rear Sights
« on: April 19, 2006, 03:30:15 AM »
Hey Guys, I know millet has a rear replacement sight for my Blued 44 mag. Any others? I was hoping to find one with a smaller notch in it. I have been practicing with my 6" hand cannon and can't seem to keep the groups consistent. I am HOPING it is not something really serious like cylinder alignment (no lead shavings) and that it is something easy like my sights or me.

I like the sight from oneraggedhole.com but they don't make it for DWs. I am trying to get out to 50 yards and stay on a paper plate. Right now I am having trouble doing that at 25 yards. I don't reload so I am stuck using factory ammo. Hoping to use this for Hogs in the fall. Guide says average shot is 35 yards.

Maybe I will just scope all my barrels. :(

Robb,

Doesn't DW offer different rear sight blades?

Of course, if you have too much light/white space on each side of the front sight you might see if DW has a wider front sight.  I know they have at least 3 heights in front sights, so different widths may be an option also.

Try putting an Bo_mar sight set on your DW.  I have the rear and .500 front on my 357 Supermag.  I shoot pins at 50ft to IHMSA rams at 200 meters with no problems.  Both Midway USA and Brownells carry Bo-mars.
