Has anyone tried 250gr bullets in their contender? My 357 herret has (of course) a long throat and I can seat 250gr bullets with ease.

I asked the same question on a different forum and recieved no replies. My brother says he has a load for them and they shot well. I will try to remember to ask him for it and post it for you.

A 250 grain bullet would work without a problem except the fact the velocity would be so low .

My 10" Herrett barrel much prefers the 150gr. rem. psp.. Having tried 200's and even 225's I can only say that my barrel does not prefer them, accuracy wise. Perhaps some of this is due to low velocity?? Your mileage may vary!!! MV
