crush rib sabots
« on: May 13, 2006, 02:33:47 PM »
Have any y'all used the harvester crush ribs? My Encore is so tight in the bore I have to actually hammer any brand of sabots down the bore. Powerbelts work but I don't like they way they disentigrate when they hit.

Never tried them. I use www.prbullets.com in my .50cal encore and now my .50cal omega. Load snug but not difficult, and one ragged hole groups consistantly.
   My favorites:
.44cal  KN 300g sabots
.45cal  KN 360g sabots
.45cal LBT 335g sabots
and most of the dead centers work great in mine and 3 different friends of mine and thier 1:28twist .50cal T/C's

I use powerbelts 295/ and 44mag with the green honday sleves.
I know what you mean about beating the bullet in on my G2 45 the only thing I an use is a power belt, the same holds true for the 45 in the Encore. The worst by far are the T/C schock waves.

I use them in my omega. I use the 45 caliber with the 250 grain hornady sst. They load very easy and I gat the same accuracy I was with the regular harvertor sabots. I would recommend them highly

Have you tried  Duplex Sabot 195 grain .357 Dead Center bullet?
I have been shooting them for several years in my Encore with no problems of being hard to load.
