I Need Ballistic Coefficient Info ???????????
« on: March 30, 2003, 07:37:06 AM »
I've switched to the new Hornady 240 grain XTP/MAG Hollow Point Bullet for reloading in my .454 Casull. I need the Ballistic Coefficient for this bullet in order to use my calculation tables for zero and bullet drop.

The Hornady WEB site does not give out this information. Does anyone have the double set of Hornady Loading Books that may contain the Ballistic Coefficient for thenew  240 grain XTP/MAG Hollow point?

I would greatly appreciate the information. Thanks in advance - J.Solo

J.solo,
At the bottom of the products page there is a table - and a cell "Ballistic Coefficients" to click on to find the BC for any of their bullets - the .452" 240 grain XTP is listed at .178, just so you don't have to go searching for it.

Hodgdon, Lyman, Speer, Sierra, Hornady = reliable resources
so and so's pages on the internet = not reliable resources
Alway check loads you find on the internet against manuals.
NEVER exceed maximum listed loads.
